Our Values
The feeding relationship between the parent/caregiver and the child is essential
A child’s autonomy must be respected and prioritized
A sense of safety and physical comfort needs to be established before new feeding skills can emerge
Goals in therapy must be aligned with family’s values
Every child and family dynamic is unique – therapy is individualized to the child’s temperament, sensory system, development, and culture
“Kathryn is fabulous! She was so supportive and helpful through my son’s tube weaning process. I remember feeling a bit lost but her advice and guidance helped us easily transition from tube feeding to bottle feeding. Later, my son was on thickened liquids and I remember feeling like he would never be able to drink thin liquids. However, Kathryn’s positive attitude and caring ideas helped encourage us to not give up hope. My son has now transitioned from honey thick to thin liquids and I am so thankful for Kathryn’s guidance, wisdom and care throughout the process. Thank you, Kathryn!”
