About NWCT
NWCT was founded by Kathryn Shultz, a certified speech language pathologist (SLP) in Seattle, WA. She received her bachelor’s degrees from Gonzaga University, and master’s degree from Eastern Washington University. Kathryn is also certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT); a hands-on therapy practice to improve the motor function of children with neuromuscular disorders such as Cerebral Palsy. She has been practicing as an SLP for over five years and has focused her career on pediatric dysphagia with specific skills in feeding tube weaning, oral motor development, supporting the parent-child dyad in feeding, safe feeding practices, and early language development.
Kathryn’s approach to feeding therapy is child-led, respectful, interdisciplinary, and integrates evidence-based practice into family and team goals.
In her free time Kathryn enjoys skiing, listening to podcasts, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband, and their golden retriever, Cooper.
