Our Services

Phone Consultation

We will begin with a 15 minute phone consultation to discuss your concerns, answer questions, and determine next steps. Payment options will also be discussed. You can reach out directly or fill out the secure form on our “Contact Us” page and we will contact you within 1-2 business days.

Feeding Evaluation

Evaluations provide an opportunity to look at your child’s overall development and discuss your concerns. During a feeding evaluation we will gather in-depth details about your child’s medical and developmental history, current feeding information, and overall concerns. We will also observe a bottle/breast feed or mealtime, as well as how your child moves, plays, and interacts. After the evaluation findings and recommendations will be discussed and a therapy plan for your family will be developed.

Feeding Therapy

NWCT’s approach to feeding therapy is child-led, respectful, and integrates evidence-based practice into family goals. We believe the feeding relationship between the parent/caregiver and the child is essential, and the child’s autonomy must be respected and prioritized throughout therapy visits. Our goal is to help develop safe, efficient, and positive feeding experiences for your child and family.

In order to provide the most comprehensive therapy for your child we often collaborate with your child’s medical team, and/or recommend specialist referrals to further investigate the root cause of your child’s feeding difficulties.

Therapy sessions are provided in your home or a mutually agreed upon location in the community. Session frequency and duration is determined based on your child and family’s needs.

Insurance

At this time NWCT does not bill insurance directly and is private pay only. Upon request a detailed invoice, known as a "superbill", can be provided to you to submit to your insurer for reimbursement of therapy charges; and while a physician referral is not required by NWCT to begin services, it may be required by your insurer. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider directly for any questions regarding your benefits and out-of-network reimbursement policies.
